Verisign made me a financial offer that I couldn't
refuse, so I registered thomasland.us in addition to
thomasland.org. It's really for future use when and if we
launch our commercial web storefront. In the interim,
thomasland.us points to all of the thomasland.org URLs so
addresses like thomasland.us/news take you here. It's simple
in its complexity!Sunday, June 16,

Mr. Mom is at home while Mrs. Dad spends the afternoon
and evening at her part-time K-Mart job. This will be an
interesting week as finally I have several job
interviews. Hopefully they will go well and I'll be
gainfully employed once again. According to the press, my
former employer, Nortel Networks, is laying-off another
3,500 people, so the right sizing has taken longer than
they thought. Gregory and Spencer asked if they could
play outside this afternoon. That usually means a
half-hour clean up afterward. We weren't disappointed as
our little devils took oranges, lemons and apricots off
of our trees and smashed them on the hot pavement.
Naturally they bake to the concrete and stone, so it
takes more than a hose to clean up. A bit scrubbing
followed by some Gregory scrubbing, and all was back to
normal. If you haven't seen our lost treasure pictures of
Gregory plus some slightly out of focus pictures that
Gregory took, click here.

It's been a
long time since I updated the ThomasLand News. I did get
around to adding many video capture pictures of the
family that I had taken since Christmas 2000. It takes
about 5 minutes to process each picture. I wound up
looking at 5-1/2 hours of videotape to get the ones
marked NEW. You can take a look in VIDEOLAND at them by entering http://thomasland.org/videoland and looking for the
CHANNELS that say NEW.

There are also lots of new goodies that my Internet
Service Provider (ISP) is making available. I've
implemented two of them: a new FEEDBACK system and a SEARCH system. Try them out from
the WHAT'S NEW section of the MAIN ENTRANCE and send me some FEEDBACK if you have the time.
