Should you get ready for preschool now?
If you have a child that will be two years old by September 2000, the answer is most likely to be yes!

California's Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR)
This is the web site for California's Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) program results for 1998. The STAR program was authorized by Senate Bill (SB) 376 in October 1997. As required by statute, the California State Board of Education designated a test for use in the STAR program. School districts in California were required to test all students in grades 2 through 11, inclusive, between March 15, 1998 and May 25, 1998.

Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroups
Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroups is a California Non-profit Public Benefit Corporation for those with children born in the same year. Through LMNP, members find friendship, support, and new things to do, as well as an opportunity for their children to learn socialization skills. All are welcome: working at home or away from home, married or single, happy or frustrated. LMNP gives members an excellent opportunity to make new friends, especially for those who are new to the area, feel isolated in neighborhoods without children, do not have relatives nearby, or are first time parents.
